A hard-hitting gun can still leave enemies closing in while you wait to fire again. For consecutive dungeon waves, choose a gun that balances your current Power with a steady firing pace and manageable reloads.
Editorial dungeon crowd-clearing picks prioritizing firing pace and manageable reload gaps, assuming the owned gun has enough Power for the enemies being fought.

Crowd-Clearing Tiers
These tiers rate how comfortably a gun keeps attacks flowing through successive enemies. They prioritize firing pace and manageable downtime, with enough Power to handle your current stage as the starting requirement.
Hatchet and Speakeasy earn their top placements through continuous fire; Longshot offers a faster-shooting alternative to Monarch. Precinct improves early firing speed. The B-tier options remain useful when their stronger individual hits compensate for pauses between attacks.
A higher tier is a handling recommendation, not a reason to replace a powerful owned gun with a copy that struggles to kill your current enemies.
Pick for Your Current Progress
- Still using the starting gun? Choose Precinct for faster firing. It is a practical early step toward handling repeated enemies without waiting as long between shots.
- Want sustained fire? Favor Hatchet. Its fast, continuous shooting makes it a strong choice when you want to keep attacking as targets fall and new ones approach.
- Finding Crimson too slow? Try Speakeasy. Continuous shooting can make waves feel smoother even when your Speakeasy has lower Power. The tradeoff is worthwhile when it still kills effectively at your current stage.
- Waiting too long between Monarch shots? Try Longshot. Its faster shooting can improve the rhythm of dungeon clearing. Compare the damage tradeoff in the slower-gun section before switching.
Precinct, Hatchet, Speakeasy and Longshot come from Weapons forging. Forge outcomes are random: a material combination that produces one of these guns can produce a different item on another attempt. Use the forging guide for material selection and preview details.
When a Slower Gun Still Fits
Keep a slower gun when your current copy drops enemies quickly enough that the pauses remain manageable. Crimson's strong individual hits can suit that situation. Brick fires individual shots, so it requires more attention to the gaps than a continuous-fire option.
Longshot vs. Monarch
Longshot is our preference for smoother dungeon firing, but the switch can cost substantial displayed Damage. In one setup, changing from Monarch to Longshot lowered character Damage from about 38T to 7.06–7.07T while providing faster shooting. Those values describe that character setup, not either gun's base Power.
Choose Longshot when its shots still finish enemies efficiently and Monarch's delay is slowing your progress. Keep Monarch when its stronger hits make a meaningful difference to how quickly your current targets fall.
Dockyard and reload pressure
With the six-round Dockyard setup, a group can survive the magazine and approach during the slow reload. Leave room to retreat before the magazine runs out, keep moving while firing, and maintain distance through the reload. With AUTO AIM enabled, use its aiming assistance while repositioning.
A powerful Dockyard setup can drop an individual target quickly, but that does not guarantee quick wave clears: remaining enemies still have time to close the gap. For boss-specific attacks and openings, use the dungeon boss strategies. For gate objectives and progression, see the worlds and stage guide.
Check Your Roll Before Switching
Compare the specific copies in your inventory. Guns with the same name can have different Power and Slots, and a higher rarity does not automatically give you more Power.
- Power: Check the gun's item stats. The main character Damage display reflects your equipped setup and is a different value.
- Firing and magazine behavior: Consider whether the gun can finish successive enemies without leaving long attack gaps.
- Slots: Include available enchantment capacity in your choice, especially when comparing otherwise suitable copies.
- Value: Treat this as an item value, not a strength score or crafting cost.
The gun directory and equipment guide covers individual stats, duplicate-gun comparisons and equipping your choice.
For training, compare Power gained per shot and firing pace together. Monarch's slow firing is a relevant tradeoff, but crowd-clearing placement does not establish training efficiency. Use the training guide for pads, Auto Train and Power-gain options.
