Equip pets that support your current goal: Power, Luck or Cash. Each companion uses an equipment slot, so the bonus you choose determines what that slot contributes.
Pet picks by equipped stat: rank Power bonuses per slot, with separate Luck and Cash choices.

Best Picks for Power, Luck and Cash
For a Power-focused loadout, prioritize Storm Wyvern, then Crystal Dragon, then Ember Whelp among the pets you own. Their Power bonuses make this a direct comparison per occupied slot: replacing Ember Whelp with Storm Wyvern raises that slot's listed bonus from +5% to +10% Power. See the training guide for training pads and other ways to improve Power gains.
Choose Jade Serpent when you want Luck and Frost Wyrmling when you want Cash. A larger Power percentage does not make a pet a better choice for those goals; the stat matters as much as the number.
Equip Pets and Check Your Active Bonuses
- Open Backpack → Pets.
- Select a pet to inspect its bonus and equipped status.
- Use Equip Best to update the equipped combination.
- Check the green checkmarks to identify active pets, then read the equipped counter to see how many slots are occupied.
- To remove a pet from the active combination, select it and press Unequip.
Check the selected stats after using Equip Best, especially if you want to keep a Cash pet active. With three Jade Serpents and one Frost Wyrmling in the inventory, Equip Best can replace the Frost Wyrmling with a third Jade Serpent. Treat the resulting checkmarks as confirmation of your loadout rather than assuming the button will preserve your preferred mix.
Use Multiple Jade Serpents or Keep a Cash Pet
You can equip multiple copies of Jade Serpent together. If you own three and have three equipment slots, their listed +5% Luck bonuses add up to +15% Luck.
With three slots, choose between these combinations according to your goal:
| Equipped pets | Sum of listed pet bonuses | Choose this when… |
|---|---|---|
| Three Jade Serpents | +15% Luck | You want all three slots devoted to Luck. |
| Two Jade Serpents and one Frost Wyrmling | +10% Luck and +5% Cash | You want to retain a Cash bonus alongside Luck. |
Replacing one Jade Serpent with Frost Wyrmling trades that pet's +5% Luck for +5% Cash. For ways to fund upgrades, see the money and selling guide.
These Luck totals describe the pets' listed bonuses, not a percentage-point increase to a particular forge result. For boosts specifically aimed at forging, see forge-luck options.
Pet Sources and Extra Equipment Slots
Jade Serpent and Frost Wyrmling are possible random results from a Dragon Egg. Ember Whelp is obtained by hatching an egg through Backpack. See egg sources and how to hatch for acquisition routes and the hatch controls for each Backpack layout.
Use your account's equipped counter to determine how many pets you can activate. A two-slot limit allows two active pets; a three-slot limit allows three. The separate pet storage capacity—60 in these layouts—counts pets you can keep, not pets you can equip at once.
+1 Pet Equip adds one equipment slot, letting you use another owned pet without replacing an active companion. See the game pass directory for its prices and purchase options.
