+1 Gun Forge Forging Guide: Ore Amounts, Auto and Chances

Last updated:

Turn your ores into guns or armor at the lobby Forge. Before committing a batch, compare its stat preview and rarity chances so you can decide which materials to use and which to keep.

Forge a Weapon or Armor Piece

Bring at least four ores to the lobby Forge. If you need a particular material, use the ore directory to find its sources and uses.

  1. Approach the forge and press E at the Open prompt.
  2. Select Weapons for a gun or Armor for protective equipment.
  3. Click ore cards in your inventory to select at least four ores in total.
  4. Read the rarity chances and stat preview. Weapons previews Power; Armor previews Health beside a heart icon.
  5. Click the green Forge button to commit the batch.
  6. Wait for the forging sequence, inspect the result card, and click anywhere when prompted to continue.

For a gun, check its class, rarity, Power, Value, and Slots. For armor, check its equipment Slot, rarity, Health, Value, and Slots. Armor can produce helmets or body armor; the result card tells you which slot the piece occupies.

Value is the finished item's value, not a forge-fee label. Use Power or Health to assess the relevant stat, and consider Slots when comparing equipment. See gun equipment and stats or armor slots and Health choices for choosing and equipping the result.

Add, Remove, Clear or Auto-Fill Materials

Read the two sets of counts separately: the right-hand inventory cards show how many ores remain available, while ×N in the bottom slots shows how many of each ore you have selected for the attempt.

  • Add an ore: click its inventory card on the right.
  • Remove an ore: click its selected card at the bottom to reduce that stack.
  • Reset the batch: click Clear.
  • Fill automatically: click Auto, then wait until the selected quantities stop changing.
  • Change the output category: switch between Weapons and Armor. Selected ores can stay in place, so review the new mode's preview before confirming.

Auto uses your available materials and can also add to a manual selection. For example, with six Opal already selected in Armor mode, Auto can add the last available Opal to make seven. Review the final counts instead of assuming Auto always stops at four ores or chooses the best mix for your goal.

You can edit an Auto selection before submitting it. Once the main button changes from Add ore to Forge, click Forge to start; there is no separate Add ore confirmation. Each new batch requires its own Forge click.

Four Ores Minimum Does Not Mean Four Ore Types

Both Weapons and Armor require at least four individual ores, not four different types. The four selection slots hold ore types, with matching ores stacked together. Diamond ×4 in one slot is enough to meet the minimum.

If the button says Add N more ore, add that many to reach four total. One selected ore needs three more; three selected ores need one more. Four is the minimum, not a maximum: larger batches such as Opal ×7 for Armor and Solarite ×25 for Weapons can be forged.

Does adding more ore improve the result?

Not necessarily. These weapon comparisons kept the player's setup the same while changing the selected quantity:

Quantity comparison Power preview at both quantities Rarity chances at both quantities
Diamond ×4 versus ×6 1.32K–2.69K Common 46.2%; Uncommon 53.8%
Obsidian ×8 versus ×9 14.7M–131M Common 2.4%; Uncommon 8.5%; Rare 44.8%; Epic 42%; Legendary 2.3%

In those configurations, the extra ores offered no displayed improvement. When your own preview stays unchanged, keeping the smaller qualifying batch is a reasonable way to preserve materials.

Mixing in a lower-tier ore can also reduce the stat preview. In one Weapons configuration, a single Epic ore previewed 546K–694K Power, but could not be forged alone. Adding one Gold lowered the preview to 290K–590K. The qualifying mix of that Epic ore plus three Gold previewed 162K–537K. The larger total satisfied the minimum while lowering the displayed range.

Add or remove materials one change at a time and compare both the stat range and rarity percentages. Use the ore combination reference to find mixtures to try, and the selling and ore decisions guide when deciding whether to keep materials for another attempt or sell them.

Read Rarity Chances and Stat Previews

The rarity percentages apply to your current category, selected materials, and active luck configuration. Finish adjusting the batch before reading them. When comparing two mixes, keep the mode and bonuses the same so those changes do not get mistaken for a quantity effect.

The Power or Health interval is a preview to help compare selections; use the result card for the actual rolled stat. Stronger!, Maybe stronger, and Weaker are comparison prompts, not final item attributes or promises about the roll.

Switching categories changes what the stat range means. For example, one Diamond ×4 configuration previewed Power 1.32K–2.69K in Weapons and Health 7–47 in Armor, while both modes displayed Common 46.2% and Uncommon 53.8%. A weapon Power number cannot be compared directly with an armor Health number.

Rarity odds do not select a specific model

Even a 100% rarity preview does not identify the gun you will receive. Iron ×2 + Stone ×2 produced Common Precinct in one attempt and Common Courier in another.

Ore rarity also does not force the equipment to match it. Repeating Blightbloom ×4 in one setup produced Uncommon Rivet and Uncommon Timber, although Blightbloom is an Epic ore. That configuration previewed Rare at 58.7%, so Rare was the most likely listed outcome, but an Uncommon result remained possible.

Choose a batch for its displayed odds and stat prospects, then compare the finished equipment's actual Power or Health and Slots. For additional mixtures and their conditional previews, see weapon and armor combinations.

Luck and Animation Options

To use the Forge's advertising reward on your next attempt:

  1. Select WATCH AD beside 3× LUCK on the left side of Forge and watch the ad.
  2. Return to Forge and confirm the 3x Forge Luck (One Time) reward and active 3× LUCK indicator.
  3. Choose your materials, review the updated preview, and press Forge to use the bonus on that attempt.

The bonus is consumed by the next forge and does not carry into later batches. Lucky Forge in Shop → Boosts also grants one-time 3× Forge Luck. Luck Potion instead provides 3× Luck for 15 minutes.

Do not multiply a displayed rarity percentage by three. For example, one shop comparison changes Rare from 93.1% to 97.6% under the luck boost. Read your current Forge percentages with the bonus active; 3× Luck is neither triple weapon damage nor a guaranteed rarity.

Skip Forge skips the forging animation. You still choose Weapons or Armor, select the materials, and press Forge for each attempt. Use it for shorter animations, not as a luck boost.

See the boosts and luck guide for potion use and comparisons between luck sources.
